An hike through some of the most stunning landscapes in the Dolomites, ideal both during the day as well as in the evening, ending with a delicious dinner in a mountain hut! From the Bai de Dones car park on the Passo Falzarego, take path 424 to the left of the mountain hut.
Continue in the woods following the track for about 15 minutes until you cross, then take path 425. Continue on the road that will later become numbered with trail sign 439. After about an hour you’ll reach the Rifugio Cinque Torri – from here you can continue bypassing the Cinque Torri, one of the most unique and best-known rock formations in the Dolomites, to the Rifugio Scoiattoli.
Once at the mountain hut, you can stop for a break or continue, for about an hour on the side of the ski slope, to the Rifugio Averau, renowned for its delicious local cuisine. From both mountain huts you’ll be able to enjoy a spectacular view of the Cinque Torri and the Tofana di Rozes From the Rifugio Averau you can also see Civetta and Marmolada.
For the return trip, follow the same route as the outward journey or go down the ski slopes.
