Crossing to Forcella Colfiedo

Circular route immersed in the suggestive landscape of the Croda Rossa d’Ampezzo mountain group and its fascinating walls.

For this route, leave your car a few kilometers from the Passo Cimabanche, near the old powder keg, at an altitude of 1,512 meters. Take path 8 into the beautiful Val di Gotres, until you reach the plateaus near Forcella Lerosa. Without reaching the fork, head north in the direction of Castello di Valbones, and then east, starting to climb the gully on increasing slopes up to the fork. For the descent, ski the opposite large east channel, at first with steep slopes, gradually becoming more accessible.

At the bottom, the valley narrows and you’ll descend into the woods until you reach the stream, which you’ll cross to return to the starting point.
