The Rifugio Lago d’Ajal is a little jewel immersed in a natural paradise for adults and children alike.
After a radical renovation which carefully considered its surroundings, it is ready to welcome its guests in summer and winter.
The mountain hut is reflected in the waters of the lake of the same name. The large terrace allows you to enjoy traditional dishes directly on the lake, surrounded by the wonders of the Ampezzo Dolomites. A unique experience!
The cuisine is linked to the territory, with great attention to raw materials and local products. The mountain hut is open for lunch and dinner, but during the day the bar service is always available with some dishes to welcome hikers and visitors.
The young manager has two great passions: the mountains and wine. Both can be felt in the place: respect for nature and a very well-stocked cellar.
In summer the mountain hut can be reached via a nice walk.
The access road is unpaved and open only at certain times of the year to protect the unique natural context in which the mountain hut is located. Alternatively, there is a jeep service available in the area upon request and reservation.
In winter, you can access the mountain hut with snowshoes and, upon reservation, a snowmobile service can be organised.
The Rifugio Lago D’Ajal has 2 suites with lake view available to enjoy an unrepeatable experience in a true natural Eden.

To the magic of an alpine lake under the starry sky, add authentic mountain cuisine and the warmth of a lit brazier.
Guests are welcomed with the warmth of a lit brazier and an aperitif of freshly made hot mulled wine. Dinner inside the newly renovated chalet: a culinary offer that is a tribute to the typical flavours of the mountains and a very well-stocked wine cellar. Return to the valley by snowmobile.
Possibility to book a suite and wake up the next morning admiring the sunrise illuminating the waters of the lake.
