Ski mountaineering

With ski mountaineering in Cortina d’Ampezzo, you can reach a peak with skis or tackle canals and gullies and then descend on breathtaking descents, far from the noise and chaos of ski lifts.
Ski mountaineering is a winter discipline that allows the skier to move across snow-covered terrain outside the areas equipped with ski lifts. The skier is provided with skis and seal skins to ascend; for the descent, the skins are removed, skiing in the purest environment that the mountains can offer.
