Rifugio 7° Alpini
Belluno
From Rifugio 7° Alpini, descend from the pass, known as Il Calvario or Col de le Silimandre, via the grassy shovel along path 501, south into the romantic and lonely Val d'Ardo, deeply sunken, richly wooded, precipitous, cut by a stream that forms several small emerald waterfalls, a realm of silence. When you reach the Mariano basin, at 681 m, you’ll cross a bridge and take the wide mule track, high up on the Ardo, which climbs a little to an altitude of 777 m, then descends gently to Case Bortòt, at 707 m, where the valley opens out. 2 hours from the Rifugio 7º Alpini. 5 hours from the Bivacco del Màrmol. Those who wish to continue on foot through the gentle green crags will have to descend along the asphalted road, reach the Ponte del Cargadór, at 478 m, climb up to the hamlet of Giòz, at 525 m, then to that of Conzago, at a541 m, and then descend gently until you reach Bolzano Bellunese, at 498 m, where you will find rest stops and also overnight accommodation in the tranquillity of the Belluno hills. 1 hour from the Case Bortòt. 5 hours from the Rifugio 7º Alpini. From Bolzano Bellunese, it is then possible to reach Belluno by taxi or public transport. If, on the other hand, you wish to continue on foot, you would have to follow the road down through the pleasant meadows until you triumphantly enter the capital of the Dolomites, Belluno, at 389 m, where the Alta Via delle Dolomiti No. 1 ends. 1.
