Mietres – Fraina

Description

Take the cycle path northbound Fiames – Cimabanche. At the end of the asphalt section, after about 200 meters, you’ll reach a crossroads where you’ll turn right. Challenging climb (almost 5 km). Short but steep descent, and then a long stretch on the slopes of the Pomagagnon passing over the Rifugio Mietres until you reach the "El Brite de Larieto" farmhouse. From here, on a paved road, you’ll reach the state road 48 which you’ll cross to enter the ski slope descending from Monte Faloria towards Cortina. Pass above Lago Scin until you enter the abandoned motocross track. Following the signs you’ll reach Mandres, then continue downhill to Baita Fraina. Descend again into the woods until you join the cycle path again in Peziè and then return to Cortina.
