When you hike in the mountains you must be respectful, allowing those who come after you to enjoy the area in the same way and ensuring the safety of local life species.
Do not leave your waste in the mountains and, if possible, also avoid leaving it in a mountain hut. Keep a bag in your backpack to put the waste in and then take it back to the valley. For smokers we recommend packing a portable ashtray.
Flowers are the most beautiful decoration of mountain meadows and forests and there is no reason to take them away! Consider taking a picture of them instead and you will be able to enjoy it long after your visit. The mountain environment is fragile and over the years the collection of certain flowers has endangered their survival. Those who love the mountains leave the flowers where they belong.
Along your route you will meet animals of all kinds: do not feed them, do not scare them and do not get too close to them. Remember that dogs must be kept on a leash and consider their needs and limits too, including what routes they can take and carrying food and water for them.
