Cortina is the Queen of the Dolomites. Live it and respect it

Cortina isn’t just a landscape to photograph: it’s a living town, made up of people who live and work here and who look after it every day for those who arrive. Anyone who visits becomes, for a few days, an integral part of it — and for this reason, we ask for the same respect one would show their own home.

For this reason, alongside the hospitality that has always set us apart, we ask our guests to keep a few small courtesies in mind during their stay in town.

  • The streets and squares of the town centre are not a campsite: please avoid tents, sleeping bags, or prolonged stops with luggage and equipment.
  • The steps of monuments, churches, and memorial sites are meant to be admired, not sat or lain on.
  • Meals, snacks, and drinks have their ideal place: bars, restaurants, designated areas — not sidewalks or shop doorways.
  • Benches are for a rest, not for sleeping.
  • The same applies on local public transport.
  • In the town centre, in shops, in public offices, and on public transport, appropriate clothing is a sign of respect for the place and for those who live there.
  • The streets and squares stay clean thanks to one small gesture from everyone: using the bins.

These are simple courtesies, almost obvious ones — but it’s precisely through these small gestures that you can tell who truly loves a place.
Thank you for helping us keep Cortina as beautiful as you found it.

From August 13 to October 15, 2026, municipal ordinance no. 144 is also in effect to protect the urban decorum of Cortina’s town centre, providing for penalties for the behaviours described above.
