Descrizione

Discover some of the most iconic and fascinating places in the Dolomites by retracing the route of the Delicious Trail Dolomiti: a track measuring around 42.5 km in the heart of the Dolomites, with a positive drop of 3,100 m. The race is held annually in September and is part of the Delicious Festival Dolomiti event: a sporting, cultural and gastronomic event dedicated to sport and entertainment, aimed at promoting the historical, natural, mountaineering and food and wine heritage of Cortina.

The route starts from the centre of Cortina, passes through the characteristic village of Mortisa and then climbs to Pocol. From here the trail will take you to the enchanting Lago Federa at the foot of Croda da Lago, where you’ll find the first refreshment point: the Rifugio Palmieri. From here the path descends through the woods offering glimpses of the Cinque Torri and the Tofane, and then climbs back up to the foot of the Cinque Torri, where you can find several refreshment points: the Rifugio Cinque Torri, the Rifugio Scoiattoli, the Rifugio Nuvolau and the Rifugio Averau. You’ll then cross Mount Averau, emerging at Col Gallina and passing along the Limedes lake, passing by the Rifugio Col Gallina and climbing along the Lagazuoi war galleries up to the Rifugio Lagauzoi, the route’s highest point. From here there is a long downhill stretch that crosses the Col dei Bos area, and once you reach the base of the majestic Tofana di Rozes it descends further along the Sotecordes path to the Rifugio Dibona.

From here you’ll descend further to Baita Resch and Hotel Argentina, the arrival point.

The maximum height is 2,731 m, the longest climb is 970 m while the longest descent is 1,390 m.
