Olympics Special: Where to ski during the Games?

Winter 2026 will be historic. Cortina will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games, turning the town into the center of the world. Here is how slope accessibility is organized to ensure an unforgettable experience for everyone:

1. Until January 26, 2026: The entire ski area is open and accessible (except for technical closures of the Olympia and Labirinti slopes starting Jan 12).

2. From March 16 until the end of the season: All areas return to full accessibility.

3. During the Games (January 26 – March 15): Skiing continues! Although some zones are reserved for competitions (Socrepes, Pomedes, Col Druscié, Ra Valles), 90 km of slopes out of 120 remain open.

Recommended areas during the Olympic period:

• Faloria–Cristallo Ski Area: A privileged balcony with a direct view of the Olympic slopes.

• Lagazuoi and 5 Torri: Spectacular and connected to Alta Badia.

• Misurina, Auronzo, and San Vito: For those seeking tranquility outside the competition perimeter.

Useful Info: Safety and Mobility

• Safety on the slopes: Major regulatory change. From this season, helmets are mandatory for everyone, with no age limits.

• Traffic/Mobility: An enhanced urban and extra-urban transport plan is active.

• Car Pass: Residents, workers, and seasonal skipass holders can request the car pass for the Olympic period via the dedicated portal.
