Cortina d’Ampezzo kicks off the winter, confirming itself as the first resort to open and the last to close in the Dolomiti Superski area. Thanks to recent snowfall, skiing has already started at Col Gallina (West slope) since November 22nd. The peak of the openings is scheduled for the Immaculate Conception long weekend, with a calendar guaranteeing non-stop skiing until May 3, 2026 (Faloria closing).

Olympics Special: Where to ski during the Games?
Winter 2026 will be historic. Cortina will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games, turning the town into the center of the world. Here is how slope accessibility is organized to ensure an unforgettable experience for everyone:
1. Until January 26, 2026: The entire ski area is open and accessible (except for technical closures of the Olympia and Labirinti slopes starting Jan 12).
2. From March 16 until the end of the season: All areas return to full accessibility.
3. During the Games (January 26 – March 15): Skiing continues! Although some zones are reserved for competitions (Socrepes, Pomedes, Col Druscié, Ra Valles), 90 km of slopes out of 120 remain open.
Recommended areas during the Olympic period:
• Faloria–Cristallo Ski Area: A privileged balcony with a direct view of the Olympic slopes.
• Lagazuoi and 5 Torri: Spectacular and connected to Alta Badia.
• Misurina, Auronzo, and San Vito: For those seeking tranquility outside the competition perimeter.
