Ski mountaineering in the Ampezzo Dolomites is perfect to get away from the ski slopes and stay in a quiet and pristine environment. The activity combines the ascent with sealskins with descents on untouched slopes. Discover many routes, from easy to difficult, with many of them leading to mountain huts open in winter.
Cortina has some of the best freeriding trails in the Dolomites, such as Cristallo, Tofane, Faloria, Cinque Torri and Lagazuoi, with famous freeride routes like Sci Club 18, Val Orita and Bus de Tofana.
It is highly recommended to contact the expert Cortina Mountain Guides to inquire about the territory and snow conditions. Always carry avalanche rescue equipment with you (Artva, shovel and probe).
