A Penelope who takes the suitcase

As part of the exhibition "New York, New York. back to the 80's" on Friday, August 22 at 6:00 PM at Farsettiarte, the book "To Penelope who takes the suitcase" by Cristina Manetti, journalist and Chief of Staff of the Tuscan Region, will be presented. In the epistolary novel, a mother writes to her twelve-year-old daughter Penelope, imagining filling her suitcase with words. Each word is a metaphor for the growth journey of all girls moving towards an equal society: courage, hope, freedom, kindness, joy, tenacity, compassion, generosity, and change..

All concepts directed from the mother to the daughter, the protagonist of the book, to empower her to be free and the architect of her own destiny.
