A course throughout the month of March, in Cortina d'Ampezzo, to learn about:
The Yin Yoga combined with acupressure, which has proven effective in cases of muscular and post-operative issues. Through this technique, relief can also be achieved for headaches and stress. Yin Yoga is a slow and relaxing Style of Yoga that focuses on the body's connective tissue, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia. In this discipline, the Asanas are held for a longer period of time than usual, typically from 2 to 5 minutes. Unlike more Yang and dynamic styles focused on muscle stimulation (such as Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Ashtanga), this type of Yoga centers its work on the connective tissues. In fact, Yin Yoga aims to stimulate and balance the free flow of Prana (or rather, Qi) among the Chakras, healing the Meridians and organs while calming emotional states and providing a sense of general Well-being.
Moreover, Yin Yoga is inspired by the Taoist concept of Yin and Yang, which represents the balance between opposing forces of Nature: Everything that is clear, mobile, warm, flexible, soft, and active is of Yang nature. What is dark, still, cold, rigid, hard, and passive is considered Yin. Therefore, the practice of Yin Yoga focuses on self-observation and listening.
