Description

From the car park of Albergo Fiames, located in the village of the same name, take path 10, which immediately enters the woods, runs alongside the Boite torrent and leads to the Spiaggia Verde chalet in about an hour's flat walk. The Chalet is an excellent stop as there are several deckchairs for sunbathing and relaxing and a children's area with various games. From the Chalet, continue along path 10 to the junction with path 417. Then take path 417 and follow it to Campeggio Olympia, where you can cross the river and return to your starting point. Along path 417 you will find the "Librascion", a marvellous wooden "book case" made by the students of the Liceo Artistico di Cortina, in collaboration with the Regole and the Ulda. In the Ampezzo language "brascion" means "tree": the librascion is therefore a book-bearing tree. There you will find a selection of books: read the one you like best and, if you wish, bring one or more books to add to the librascion collection to make the next passer-by's hike even more enjoyable.
