At Passo Falzarego take the cable car, which climbs quickly to the foot of Rifugio Lagazuoi. The mountain hut, appreciated for its typical cuisine and traditional ambience, offers one of the most spectacular terraces in the Dolomites. Take path 401 and start descending to the Forcella Lagazuoi pass. From here, take path 20 and when it forks, keep to the right, descending for about 400 m down the wide rocky valley mixed with small grassy pastures with the walls of the Lagazuoi Gran and Cime di Fanes on your right until you reach the lake. After admiring the small lake surrounded by the Dolomite peaks, return to the fork with path 20 and follow it to Rifugio Scotoni, famous for its barbecues, where the environment becomes less rocky and cows and llamas graze in the surrounding meadows. To return to the starting point, from Rifugio Scotoni start climbing again along path 18B to Forcella Salares, then take path 20A to return to Forcella Lagazuoi and then to the mountain hut of the same name and descend by cable car..
