Looking at the Sun up close? You can, and it’s amazing.
At the Astronomical Observatory of Col Drusciè, the sky never ceases to amaze even during the day. Thanks to a special solar telescope, the public can safely observe the Sun in total safety and discover a world in constant motion: sunspots, granulation, prominences, and fascinating phenomena of the photosphere that tell the story of our star's energy.
A unique, bright, and engaging experience designed for curious minds of all ages. Observations take place only in case of sunny weather, to provide clear and spectacular images.
In the morning, the Observatory is accessible exclusively via the Tofana – Freccia nel Cielo cable car from the center of Cortina (it is not possible to walk up).
Opening hours: from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, no reservation required.
Ticket: €5 per person – free entry for children up to 6 years.
