From the car park next to the characteristic restaurant on the Lago di Pianozes, take the road to the Rifugio Lago d’Ajal, following trail sign 430.
Once near the mountain hut, which is only open in the summer months, continue along path 431 until you reach a clearing where the “Cason del Macarón” is located. At the fork, take path 406 until you reach the Passo Giau state road.
Cross the road and continue to the left until you reach the Malga Peziè de Parù, which can be reached after a walk of about two hours: from there, you can enjoy a splendid view of the Tofana di Rozes and the 5 Torri. In this elegant, homely ambience, you can enjoy some classic Ampezzo dishes and mountain cuisine, prepared according to original recipes. For the return journey, follow the same route as the outward journey.
The route is not particularly difficult, except in terms of length, drop and variable snow cover conditions.
It is always advisable to rely on the Mountain Guides and consult the snow and weather service before any hike.
