Rifugio Scoiattoli

Descrizione

Built in 1969 by the mountain guide Lorenzo Lorenzi, the Rifugio Scoiattoli is still managed by the same family. The pride of the managers is the scenic terrace over the Dolomites, from where you can admire the climbers in action on the walls of the famous Cinque Torri.

The Rifugio Scoiattoli is located on the ski slopes in the immediate vicinity of the Museo all’aperto della Grande Guerra, where you can walk through the trenches and restored posts of the First World War.

The kitchen offers traditional Ampezzo and regional dishes, revisited with imagination.

In winter you can enjoy an alternative evening by reservation: ascent to the mountain hut with the illuminated chairlift, traditional dinner and sledging. Alternatively, you can book dinner and go up with your skins and your front battery in the moonlight.

For romantic but unusual evenings, try the fir wood barrel tub: the water in which you immerse yourself is constantly heated thanks to a wood stove.

The Rifugio Scoiattoli is easily accessible on foot or with the Cinque Torri chairlift.

The mountain hut has 42 seats and 3 bathrooms with showers on the floor.
