Among the larches of Mandres and Fraina

Description

Take the Faloria cable car, located near the bus station, stopping at the middle station in Mandres. From here, take path 220 through the forest until, after about 45 minutes, you arrive near Fattoria Meneguto, a farmhouse at the foot of the slopes that climb steeply up to Monte Faloria. The Fraina area and the slopes that surround it are places of ancient stories and beliefs: Faloria, the mountain behind which the Sun rises, was attributed a strong sacred value, since the door of the god Silvanus opened here. Moreover, Fraina is considered one of the first settlements in the Valle d’Ampezzo. To return, take path 214 until it crosses path 210. Then turn right to rejoin path 220, which leads to the starting point.
