Description

Easy route, varied and scenic, which touches some of the most famous points of the Dolomites and returns to the starting point after a fun descent, passing along the enchanting Lago di Misurina and crossing the historic town of Alverà. From the Cortina d'Ampezzo bus station, head north on the SS 51 di Alemagna towards Dobbiaco/Austria. Continue slightly uphill to the Passo Cimabanche for about 15 kilometres and then continue for as many kilometres slightly downhill. Along the way, past Lago di Landro, you can stop to admire a magnificent view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo on your right. Continuing in the direction of Dobbiaco, pass the war cemetery in Sorgenti and before the village of Dobbiaco you will see the green waters of the lake of the same name on your left. On the way back, follow the same route for the first stretch to Carbonin, here take the SP 49 on the left towards Misurina which you will reach after about 8 kilometres. Along the waters of the enchanting lake, continue in the direction of Cortina d'Ampezzo on the SR 48 and after a challenging rise and fall you will arrive at Passo Tre Croci, from where you will begin a fun descent to the starting point after crossing the historic village of Alverà, part of Ampezzo.
