The Fourth edition of the Cortina Skimo Cup is set to begin, with the event scheduled for Sunday, March 30, featuring a race that will be valid for the assignment of the absolute Italian team titles (two athletes).
Cortina SkiMo Cup will host a national event, the awarding of the “scudetti” for teams. This will be done in synergy with Cortina Alpine Guides, Scoiattoli Cortina, Mountain Rescue, and Cortina Ski Club.
Unlike the first three editions, the 2025 edition will not take place in the Col Gallina – Falzarego area, but rather on the other side of the valley, specifically in the Faloria area.
Start and finish are set at an altitude of 1800 meters at Passo Tre Croci, while the course will stretch to Ra Seleta, at an altitude of 2,600 meters, a pass that connects Punta Nera to Ra Zesta. It is a highly spectacular course with high technical content: the development is around 16 kilometers while the positive elevation gain exceeds 1600 meters.
This is a challenging course that, characterized by four ascents and four descents as well as two sections to be covered on foot, will not give competitors a moment's rest as they will face continuous changes in posture. The recent snowfall ensures a race venue in perfect conditions.
