Health, well-being and socialization: meetings in Cortina for the elderly.
The ULSS Dolomiti, the Municipality of Cortina, and the Special Company for Personal Services of Cortina have organized a series of meetings dedicated to all seniors in the area, who represent an important resource for the community, on topics related to health and well-being.
In a welcoming and informal atmosphere, there will be an opportunity to discuss with experts crucial topics for maintaining a high quality of life: from dementia prevention to new healthcare technologies, as well as the secrets of osteoporosis. Moreover, there will be discussions on active aging and how to keep a young heart.
The evenings are not intended to be "lessons," but moments of information, socializing and sharing. A precious opportunity to ask specialists questions, clear up doubts, and, above all, meet and spend time together.
The series of meetings, which will continue in December with additional topics, will begin:
on October 29 in the cultural hall in Cortina at 8:30 PM: there will be a discussion on how the regional Electronic Health Record can facilitate care management with simple steps.
On November 13, the topic will be dementia: from warning signs to managing this condition that involves not only the patient but also their entire family. The experts will be neurologist Roberta Padoan and psychologist Francesca De Biasi from the Cognitive Decline and Dementia Center.
On November 27, there will be a discussion on osteoporosis with the director of the Pieve di Cadore medicine department, Mauro Schiesaro.
All citizens are invited.
