The Castelletto can be reached by leaving the car at the Rifugio Dibona and along the path marked 403 and then 404 on the west side right at the base of the Tofana (about 1 hour).
You can venture into the mine tunnel, over 500 meters long, which was the protagonist of the most famous episode for which the Castelletto is known: the explosion of the Italian mine on 11 July 1916. Once out of the tunnel you’ll find yourself at Forcella Col dei Bos and you can descend into Val Travenanzes or go back downhill.
For the more intrepid, on the other hand, the challenging Giovanni Lipella via ferrata starts here, which goes around the imposing Tofana di Rozes.
